“Saved Us $$” Jacob N. British Columbia, Canada

“We thought our CAD drawings were exact, but decided to have you create a rapid prototype for us so we could verify the part before we went to manufacturing. We received our part and noticed we had an error in our drawing. Thanks to you, we were able to make a few modifications that saved us $$ on final tooling.”

Prototyping Services

The the process of converting computer generated CAD drawings into physical parts.

Rapid prototyping is fast and has a low initial investment, because parts are made directly from the CAD drawings bypassing the need for tooling.

For customers seeking more parts than 20 parts its generally more economical to use urethane casting. The benefits are more production like parts, with the resin options available we can very closely approximate the color and feel of a production injection molded part. The initial investment is more expensive because molds need to be made and are good for around 20 shots. Pricing starts out at about $500 per mold and a per part charge. A custom quote is needed for urethane casting, you can email your part files for a quotation.

Injection molding is desirable when more than 100 parts are needed, the initial investment is higher molds start at $2000 but the part charge is much lower and the tooling can last for hundreds of thousands of parts depending on the options selected. A custom quote is needed for injection molding, you can email your part files for a quotation.

General purpose prototypes. Excellent parts for fit testing. Good strength/durability but less detail.

High detail prototypes with thin walls. When parts need to be very close to manufactured parts.

Extremely high detail, translucent prototypes. Best accuracy and tolerances. Weaker but more flexable than SLA.
